What is the camera health report and how to best use it.
The Camera Health Report provides Administrators with accurate insights into Gateway Data Retention, Cloud Retention, and Camera Motion Events.
Step 1: Access the Report
From the Reports Tab Click on Camera Health
Clicking on Generate Report will produce a report on the current camera health. This report is location-specific, so before generating it, ensure that your scope is appropriately narrowed down or broadened to include the desired area.
The QxControl Interface offers several sorting options. Data can be organized by Camera Name, or, using the menu on the right side of the page, you can filter results to focus on a specific Gateway or individual camera(s).
Explaining Column Definitions:
Cloud Storage Days: Displays the camera's cloud recording settings. If set to "0 days," there is no active cloud recording subscription. A populated number indicates an active subscription, e.g., "7 days" means 7 days of cloud storage is available.
Last Motion At: Indicates the timestamp of the last motion event received from the camera. If certain cameras are significantly outdated compared to the majority, investigate potential issues such as disconnection events, online/offline status, or motion settings. Adjusting sensitivity or masking settings may resolve these discrepancies.
Newest Disk Media: Shows the most recent recording event stored on the Qx Gateway.
Oldest Disk Media: Displays the earliest recording event for the camera on the Gateway, representing the total retention period available on the Qx Gateway for that camera.
An alternative option is to download the report as a CSV file. This allows you to modify and sort data using tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. For larger sites where managing data via the web interface may be challenging, this approach provides an effective solution.
