Setting the timezone in your Place is a required step when building your Heirerarchy in new installations. There are however some older installs that may not have a timezone set.
You need a timezone for schedules to work properly. This is necessary for Access Control, and important for the system to properly determine schedules when doing free run recording.
The process is very simple.
- Navigate to the Places via the left hand menu (expand with hamburger icon if needed)
- Select the place you wish to set the timezone for
- If there is a gateway directly associated witht the place it should be a green colored icon
- Click on the Edit button from the menu that slides in from the right
- Choose your timezone from the dropdown list for the place
- Lastly be sure to select "Save Place" at the bottom of the window.
