How to restrict Cameras from Users

To restrict cameras from users we are going to leverage the Places tree.  Below I will show the simplest form of this example, but it can vary in complexity based on your need.

In the example below "Customer Example Inc." wants to restrict the Vault Camera from being seen by the General user login.

Here is what the Customer is starting with:

We need to create a General and Restricted Place so that we can differentiate access for the People we configure.

First we create the Places
- Highlight the Building 1 Site
- Select Create Place from the menu above
- Type in the Name desired
- Click Create Place
- Repeat as needed (ensure the proper parent Place is highlighted  or chosen when creating new areas)

Next Assign the cameras to the appropriate Place as below by clicking Edit Camera and adjusting the Place

See below example-

Then when you are creating People who will login, choose the appropriate Place for the cameras they need.   In the example below the People set to the General Cameras Place will only see the cameras in General.  And the People created at the Building 1 Place will see ALL cameras within Building 1, including cameras assigned to Restricted Cameras.
