Invalid Auth Response

If you click Sign in with Google on the QxControl login page and a red banner reads Invalid auth response: Google, the sign-in is being blocked by stale data your browser has saved for app.qumulex.io. Trying again, or trying different sign-in methods, will usually show the same error until that saved data is cleared.

Why this happens

When you sign in with Google, Google sends a sign-in response back to QxControl, which checks it against information your browser saved when the login started. If the browser is holding old cookies or a cached copy of the login page from an earlier session, the two don't match and QxControl rejects the response. Your Google account and your QxControl user are usually fine.

How to fix it

Desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox)

Open your browser's settings and clear cookies and cached data for app.qumulex.io. Clearing only this site is enough; you don't need to clear your whole browser history.
Close the tab, open a new one, and go to app.qumulex.io.
Click Sign in with Google again.

Phone or tablet

If you are using the QxControl app installed on your home screen, pull down from the top of the screen to force a refresh, then try signing in again.
If that doesn't work, open your phone's actual browser (Safari or Chrome), go to app.qumulex.io, and do a full refresh of the page before signing in.
If the error still appears, clear the browser's cookies and website data for app.qumulex.io. On iPhone: Settings › Apps › Safari › Advanced › Website Data, search for qumulex, and remove it. Then sign in again.

Tip: Clearing site data signs you out of QxControl on that browser only. Other devices and other users are not affected.

Still not working?

Try signing in from a private / incognito window. If that works, the problem is still saved data in your normal browser window.
