Using 2FA with QxControl

QxControl may be configured to use third-party authenticator apps as your second source of authentication. If enabled, you'll be required to provide a code supplied by your selected authenticator app when you log in.

To initiate 2FA, you'll scan the QR code from within QxControl (https://app.qumulex.io/qx/settings/authentication) and provide that to your third party authenticator app, e.g. Google Authenticator, LastPass Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.  After that, when you log in to QxControl, you'll need to provide a code that is supplied by your authenticator app.

Another way to log in is by using the one-time-use backup codes that were generated when you enabled 2-factor authentication. These are presented to you immediately after you set up 2FA with your authenticator app.  Ensure you save them in a secure location to use in case you lose access to your authenticator app.

Subject to your organization's rules, users may disable 2FA on their account at any time after they are logged in.

Finally, Qumulex can disable two-factor authentication on your behalf. To do so, we will need you to verify your identity for security purposes.  You will need to contact support@qumulex.com and be able to present a government-issued ID and have access to the account's email address.
