Why won't my camera connect?

If you are having trouble connecting to your camera it is usually one of a few things.  Follow the below steps to resolve connectivity issues.  If you still have trouble or questions, reach out to support directly.

  1. Double check to ensure the camera make and model you are using is ONVIF Profile S or T compatible.
  2. Verify that you can connect to the camera via the webpage using a computer that is on the security network.
    1. If you cannot connect via the camera webpage you can check the following
      1. Camera power source
      2. Verify there is a blinking light on the both the Camera and the port it is connected to on the switch.
      3. Power cycle the camera
      4. Use the ONVIF Finder utility to verify it did not change IP addresses (https://sourceforge.net/projects/onvifdm/
  3. Once you know you can connect via the camera webpage verify that the IP address matches exactly within your Qumulex software under the Cameras section. 
  4. Verify the camera time matches the local time/date where the server is located.
