The March 2024 QxControl Update has been released!

This update brings a host of new user settings, with new Custom User Roles & Granular User Privileges; plus Enhanced Privacy Controls and Enhanced Security Controls. Additionally, Security Drones can now be used in QxControl with the addition of RTSP Streams Support.

Here are the details of the March 2024 update:

NEW: Custom User Roles & Granular User Privileges

New in this update is the ability to create custom roles and assign them to users. This allows maximum flexibility and customization for QxControl admins, enhancing the security of your QxControl solution while streamlining the user experience.

Roles 1

By defining custom user roles, you enable a more intuitive experience for users with select Privileges, as those users will see only the options and features that apply to their custom role.

The new extensive granularity in defining user Privileges allows more flexibility in managing user access as well as offering a near limitless ability to customize what users are able to do and see in QxControl.

NEW: Enhanced Privacy Controls

Customer admins now have even more flexibility in granting and revoking remote access privileges with new simple 1-click buttons to grant access for their MSP, Security Dealer, or Qumulex Support.

NEW: Enhanced Security Controls

Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is one of the best ways to ensure secure access to QxControl. With this release, customer admins can now enforce the requirement of 2FA for all QxControl users.

Enforce 2FA B

Once this option is enabled, all users (including the admin) will be presented with a message and QR Code to enroll in 2FA before they can complete the login process.

NEW: RTSP Streams Support (Security Drones!)

With this release you can now connect a camera using an RTSP stream. This is beneficial when connecting a camera that is unable to use Onvif S media profiles and is also great for devices that provide video but are not Onvif compatible, such as security drones.
